Corrections Policy
Benefit information changes, estimates get superseded, and errors must be handled visibly.
What counts as a correction
A wrong source value, broken formula, incorrect payment date, misleading status label, or material wording error requires a correction. A clearly labeled estimate that is later replaced by new official data is an update, provided the original assumption was stated accurately.
How we respond
- Verify the issue against the primary source.
- Correct the underlying structured data or calculation.
- Update the verification date.
- Add a visible note when the error materially affected user results.
Priority
Errors that could change a user's expected benefit or payment date receive the highest priority. Cosmetic and non-material wording issues are handled in the next normal update.
Report an issue
If you identify a calculation discrepancy, incorrect payment date, or outdated statutory parameter, please submit a report through our Contact & Feedback page. We treat calculation errors as high priority and investigate reports against official SSA and BLS records within 1–2 business days.
